What type of Breathwork is this class?
This type of Breathwork is called. Conscious Connected Breathing, or Circular Breathwork. it’s all done lying down through the mouth. Don’t worry, Jon Paul will go over with all of the instructions prior to the session.

How do I prepare for Online Breathwork and set up my space?
NOTE: If it’s your first time doing a Live Online Breathwork Class, don’t wait until the time the class is scheduled to read these instructions. If you do, you’ll be late and miss important information you need to do the breathing technique correctly.
- Download the Zoom app to your computer or device if you don’t already have it installed. Sign into the class at least 15 minutes early (don’t wait until the last minute- you may have technical difficulties or experience trouble logging on).
- Set up your computer so that it’s next to your space. Headphones are ideal if you’re solo. If you’re doing it with other people, I suggest connecting to external speakers if you have them. For the best experience please make sure that you are in a room with the best Internet connection speeds (close to your WiFi router).
- If this is your first time doing Breathwork, I suggest setting up the computer so I can see you from the waist up when you’re lying down. Have the light on in the room so I can see if you’re doing the breathing technique correctly. You can turn the camera off if you feel more comfortable. Also, if your internet connection is bad, turning the camera off may help.
- Write your name and your location in your Zoom box. It’s inspiring to connect and do this with people all over the planet.
- Set up a yoga mat, blanket or whatever you want to lay on. I’ve done it on planes, beaches, and hotel room floors, so anything works. Don’t make excuses.
- An eye mask, eye pillow, or facecloth to cover your eyes is really helpful for a lot of people to help let go.
- It’s ideal to do Breathwork when your stomach is not too full, so I suggest not eating anything at least two hours prior to the session if possible. It still works if you’ve eaten, it’s just best not to have giant cheeseburger right before.
- Show up fully for the session. Just because you’re at home doesn’t mean you can be lazy.
What if I Can’t make the Live Zoom time or I miss the class?
If you can’t make the Sunday live ZOOM time 9:00am Pacific (California time) 12:00 pm East Coast There is a 72-Hour replay that will be automatically email to you about 30 minutes after the class finishes. it can often land in one of your other folders in your email box. If you don’t see it search for: info@breathewithjp.com in your email search.
Are there any contraindications for Circular Breathwork?
Breathwork can result in intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, it is not advised for persons with a history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries or surgery.
Breathwork is not advised for persons with severe mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons using major medications. It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms. Pregnant women are advised against practicing Breathwork without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician and the Breathwork class facilitator.
What Should I Do After a Breathwork Class?
After a Breathwork class, you may feel lighter and happier, as if a giant weight has been lifted off you. During my first session, I cried in a way I never had before—but afterward, I felt incredible.
For some people, old emotions, heavy energy, or past traumas may surface. If that happens, it’s important to seek support. Either way, you will likely feel open, sensitive, and raw after class. Because of this, Jon Paul always recommends surrounding yourself with love and avoiding people who might not understand your experience.
And most importantly—stay away from exes afterward! Don’t text or call them. Jon Paul always says that, and he means it.
If you’d like to deepen your experience, you can always do the replay the next day and even though it’s the same exact session, Breathwork is different every single time—it meets you where you are in the moment, helping you release what you need to let go of.

Originally from Boston, in his early 20s Jon Paul Crimi moved to Los Angeles and quickly became one of the most sought after celebrity trainers and sober coaches in the country. Unexpectedly, he found himself in a breathwork class and had a massive transformation that first time. Knowing he had to share this technique, he not only began teaching breathwork, but developed his own unique style and quickly began selling out breathwork classes all over Los Angeles.
