In a world where it is so easy to copy paste and mass produce, your ability to be creative, to solve problems and to see things differently is a rare commodity. Breathwork is such a wonderful tool for cultivating and harnessing the power of creativity. You’ve probably already experienced the frustration of a creative block or “writer’s block.” The good news is that you don’t have to wait around for that flash of inspiration to come through. You can generate it at will using breathwork! Yogis and mystics understood the power of the breath for creating the life force energy and regularly used breathwork before engaging in any sort of creative pursuit. This may sound a little woo – but the most creative people in the world, artists, writers, actors and entrepreneurs, all understand this. Breathwork is the “secret sauce” that allows them to tap into their creativity whenever they want! When you know how to do this, your work and all your creative pursuits will become more fulfilling and will be of a higher quality. You’re getting out of your own way and allowing the creative force to flow through you. I will lead you through an energizing and inspiring breathwork session to get your creative juices flowing. After the session I’ll ask you to use this energy to CREATE – this can be in the form of journaling, painting, dancing, whatever you want! You’ll set a timer for 30 minutes and create freely with no goal and no judgement. The intention here is to strengthen your creativity muscle.

Breathwork is a powerful technique for exploration, discovery, healing, and personal growth. Working with the breath enables you to take better care of yourself and release beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you. When we saturate our bodies with oxygen it helps clear negative emotions and traumas from our sympathetic nervous system, reduce stress, as well as a variety of other stored emotional experiences.
This Breathwork technique bi-passes the critic in our brain and talks directly to the body. Breathwork has the ability to help us reduce stress and open our up creativity. Currently, breathwork is being used on Veterans with PTSD and they are having great success in the reduction of symptoms.
After a few minutes of breathing, you may feel a tingly sensation of energy vibrating through your body, moving the stuck energy in your system. Many people report having profound experiences. Your experience will be unique to you and your path.

Breathwork can result in intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, it is not advised for persons with a history of cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries or surgery.
Breathwork is not advised for persons with severe mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons using major medications. It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms. Pregnant women are advised against practicing Breathwork without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician and the Breathwork class facilitator.
